When you are working with complex scenes, this allows you to keep the high-res models hidden in the viewport but appear when you render. You need to have display layers set up to take advantage of this script. Choose the Render Layer option box (renderLayersWindow();) to choose which layers render and which do not. Run renderLayersQR (quick render) to render the scene using render layers.
